Women's self-defense workshop
Join us on Saturday, November 5th and Saturday, November 11th from 9-12:30pm at The Treasury in Delavan for our "Defense & Daiquiris "workshop for women. This is a two-session workshop that will not only teach the basic skills needed to defend yourself in dangerous situations, but will enable the development of a proactive and preventative mindset to recognize and escape danger BEFORE it presents itself.
Sergeant Dan Derrick from the Lake Geneva Police Department will introduce the psychology behind self preservation in today's world and share wisdom on how we keep ourselves safe from potential threats and/or physical confrontations that may come our way. In addition to self-defense, our women's workshop would not be complete without the opportunity to enjoy delicious daiquiris and some great discussion. You definitely do not want to miss this!
Session 1: Saturday, November 5th 9-12:30pm
This session will primarily focus on the mental preparation to detect and avoid physical encounters.
Session 2: Saturday, November 11th 9-12:30pm
This session will continue to review the psychology of avoidance and will transition into the basic techniques that will allow you to prevent, defend, escape from physical confrontation.
